Call me, IF...

Call me, IF...

I made a Facebook post on Tuesday that asked two questions:

1. Do you enjoy being my friend here?

2. Are we actually friends?

It dawns on me that while I have LOTS of connections...I'm not totally sure how many friends I have.

I mean sure it seems like I have a lot on my birthday, but don't we all feel that way?

It dawned on me that a better question would have been:

Do you have my phone number in your phone?

Honestly this wouldn't be much of a feat...

My phone number has been imprinted all over the world wide web for a number of years.

But that doesn't mean anyone took the time to enter the number and create an actual contact. That would be crazy!

Fun fact, you and I probably still get the same amount of robo calls. Hit me up with any good stories about how you mess with those.

Anyway the whole thing got me thinking: people might be more likely to call if they knew when they should.

Are you getting as many calls as you'd like?

If not, is it possible people aren't sure when to call you? I spent a few minutes thinking through why folks should call me.

I suggest you do the same.

Here are 9 ideas on when you should call me:

1. It's time to do something different and you have a few ideas, but aren't sure which one is right for you.

2. You've been kicking butt in business for a while, but things have kinda hit a plateau.

3. You're involved in an event and need a speaker or MC to engage and activate the crowd.

4. There are a team of people they want some fresh ideas on how to grow the business.

5. You know you need to do more to stay top of mind with clients, prospects and suspects but don't know where to start.

6. You're thinking about pretty much any new marketing initiative and you need a sounding board.

7. A business owner friend of yours needs help growing their business.

8. You're ready to take your LinkedIn game up a notch.

9. You're having a crap day and feel like no one cares.

I would be legitimately interested in having any of these conversations.

I promise all of them turn out well for both of us.

Remember, giving someone the ability to help you is still an act of giving.

I suppose I would be remiss if I didn't give you my number.

Call* me, maybe: 248.224.1326.

*You should probably text me first ;-)

Definitely let me know how I may be of service to you.

A solid article Terry. Have you shared this link outside of LinkedIn (Facebook, Twitter) and merchandised it across LinkedIn (status update, groups) etc?
