Im taking a stand for embedding sustainability

The 25 Year Environment Plan and Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution has set out the UK Government aspirations for a Green and Sustainable Future across all areas of UK. More broadly, boardroom commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and corporate social responsibility targets are becoming commonplace. Sustainability is about delivering equity in decision making between the environment, society and the economy and between current and future generations. CIRIA has long championed sustainability and biodiversity within the construction and built environment sectors and our work has been instrumental in changing practice in this area. We are also actively engaging with other sectors to support this objective.

CIRIA has a long and distinguished reputation for the delivery of robust, independent and authorative good practice guidance is this field. We influence, inform and support decision makers, asset owners, designers, constructors and suppliers to take the opportunity for the delivery of multiple benefits across the built and natural environment.
