A Call to Action for WMS, WES, WCS, IT Professionals and End-Users

The SAI alumni, the originators of MOCA and the first MOCA-based WMS, got back together for a virtual 30th reunion to send out an urgent call. We are asking for everyone, no matter if you are partners, vendors, end-users, or competitors to come together for a worthy cause – Feeding America.

Mile-long lines at food banks are something we cannot and should not ignore. Due to COVID-19 and other factors, families all over America are not able to afford even the most basics of food for their families. The need is dire.

We are asking everyone in our field, who has the means, to consider adding Feeding America, or your local food bank, to your giving plans. Feeding America is a top-rated charity where upward of 98% of donations serving America’s families. You can watch the SAI Alumni Call-to-Action Video (which has a link) or, better yet, donate here.

A lot of us know, or at least know of, each other. And over the years, many of us, no matter whom we work for, would often meet at events for drinks or coffee. We have all, together, whether partner or competitor, moved the needle forward in our industry by pushing each other to become better.  And, we know that when all is said and done, after all the competitive talk, we are all trying to do the right thing for our customers.

And speaking of doing the right thing…

Please help us make a big difference for our fellow Americans – our friends and neighbors – right now. We are not competitors in this moment – but allies in doing the right thing. You can make a difference.
