Call to Action and a little more
The first and only time I bought a pair of Birkenstock slippers was a mistake. Well, not technically, but we were sold by an interesting 'Call to Action'.
My dad wanted to show my sister and I how open markets worked, so we went to the Trade Fair market. The plan wasn't to buy anything per se, we were there for the open-market experience and the plan was working so well that we are already on our way out until... We heard a woman yell "Come and buy what I'm selling oh, just cheat me and go"
She got our attention completely, such that we went from shock to laughter and then curiosity. We ended up buying two pairs of Birkenstock slippers from her. (she was a really good marketer though, lol!)
Do you think her 'Call To Action' would have had the same effect on us in an open market, if she had only yelled 'buy from me oh' and stopped? I doubt that. Sometimes in an open market such as the internet, you'll need some pizzazz to stand out. A little more.
If we switch to content marketing lingua, what the woman said can be translated to - "Buy now while our amazing discounts last", "Shop now at ridiculously affordable prices", "Book now and get an extra ticket" etc.
So, don't stop at telling your audience to shop today, or learn more or book now. Tell them why it should be you and not the guy next door.
