Calibrating Nips II

Calibrating Nips II

Calibrating nips requires two new concepts.  The first is that friction must be measured, usually as the difference between the just opening and just closing pressures.  Next comes the harder part.  That is defining zero based on a goal which is in turn based on the particular element you are calibrating.  The definition for zero on dancers and layon rollers and other nips are totally different.
