Time management is a big issue with many people these days. People feel overwhelmed when they should be learning to schedule their day, make quality family time, keep a full calendar, stay busy, and basically get all the things in life done they want—and to do it long before required and win! Does that sound good to you? Here are some tips you can use today to control your time, not manage it.
1. Get Great Partners—I’m talking about your spouse, your friends, and the people you do business with. Make sure they are great and not average. They need to bring great ideas and be thinking about how to be great. Great partners achieve more together than they would by themselves.
When you get great partners around you, they motivate you and you will motivate them. It’s difficult to measure just how much having great partners will improve your life, but they will save you a lot of time and energy.
2. Schedule Short Breaks—If you need a short break during the day—and I’m talking short—take it. Take a 45 second break. You aren’t controlling time if you aren’t controlling how long your short breaks really are. People will take a “short” break and go get a coffee and come back to their desk 20 minutes later. That’s not a break, that’s a second lunch. Take four short breaks today and see how it will motivate you.
Remember that white space on your calendar is the enemy of production. You want to pack it full and keep your breaks short and scheduled.
3. See Every Action Through to Completion—Make no excuses. Adopt a “take-no-prisoners” attitude. Approach every situation with a whatever it takes mindset. To have big success you need to have the result of relentless, proper actions taken over time. Only those who operate with the appropriate view and corresponding actions will have success. Luck clearly has something to do with it, but anyone who is “getting lucky” will tell you that their “luck” is directly proportional to what they’ve done.
If you start things and don’t complete them, you will have a lot of open projects and it will become demotivating eventually. Finishing something gives you energy.
4. Add More Things to Your Day—Add wood to your fire, whether you are working out, trying to improve your marriage, or growing your business, operate in terms of compounding efforts and actions.
Here’s a basic example of my day—I just kept adding things until there was no white space left in my day:
Slamming your calendar will help you stay motivated. There are only 168 hours in a week so remember that time is either invested or wasted. I want you to…
? Stop procrastination forever.
? Squeeze minutes out of every day
? "Balance" work, family, and life
? Learn how Time X Actions = Measure of Advance
? See every action through to completion
? Get the discipline of wealth
The 10X Planner I created is part schedule, part journal. The 10X Planner is for the entrepreneur that demands to 10X their life. For 25 years I have used every type of daytimer, planner and organizer that exists and this is the best of them all, so I want you to have it as well. The 10X Planner schedules out every second of everyday, gets your head right, gets you goal oriented, and target focused everyday.
Be great,
GC
P.S. If you and your spouse are setting massive financial goals together, I have the perfect thing to help get you there. I put together a program that gives you a step-by-step process on how to create wealth the same way I did, learn to be a hero to others (like your spouse and kids) and give beyond your wildest dreams, the simple formula I created called Millionaire Math that will show you exactly how to create one million dollars, everything you need to avoid to become a millionaire, and so much more.

7 年My children will always get more than 2 hours a day. If you are having to work so much, something is wrong. Change your expectations. Money is not the means to happiness. And life is not work. In the end, relationships outweigh any amount of money you can earn. Look at Steve Jobs. In the end he said he wished he had spent more time with his family. When he was dying. I run a successful recruiting firm. And I am financially secure. I live on the beach in So. Cal. and enjoy my life. Could I make more ? Sure But I choose more time for living my life over more money.
