Calcium-rich foods that people don't know about.

Hey everyone!

We all know that calcium is important for our bones and teeth, but did you know there are some other great sources of calcium out there other than dairy?

While dairy products like milk, cheese and yoghurt are the most common sources of this essential nutrient, there are plenty of other options available. Here’s a look at some lesser-known resources for getting your daily dose (1000 mg to 1200mg):

1. Leafy greens - Kale, spinach and collard greens contain high amounts of absorbable calcium. They also provide vitamins A & C as well as fiber which makes them an excellent addition to any diet!

2. Almonds - These crunchy snacks pack a powerful punch when it comes to nutrition – containing not only lots of protein but also high levels of magnesium and phosphorus which help with absorption in the body too!

3. Fish with edible bones - Sardines or canned salmon can be eaten whole (including their soft bones) to get extra doses from these fish varieties that have been cooked up already so they're easy on digestion too!

4. Soybeans/Soymilk – Soybeans offer both plant-based proteins along with small yet significant amounts per serving size making them another great option if you don't consume dairy products regularly or just want something different every once in a while :)

  1. And lastly, sesame seeds are the best vegan calcium source, it's my go-to food when I cross calcium deficiency with my patients -which I often do. and I use it personally on a daily basis, in snacks, cookies, breakfast, salads etc ...

So next time you're looking for ways to get more calcium into your diet remember these alternatives–they may not be traditional choices but they will definitely do the trick when it comes down to providing those vital nutrients needed by our bodies each day!!
