CalAIM in Focus – May 2024 Digest

Governor Newsom’s updated budget was released earlier this month. Although CalAIM funding remains intact, many important initiatives that support the work of CalAIM now face proposed cuts or delays in implementation. By law, the legislature must pass the budget bill by June 15. The governor then has two weeks to finalize the budget before the new fiscal year’s start on July 1. CHCF will have an update on the final budget in July’s CalAIM digest.
