Cal Poly Pomona Foundation hosts Board of Directors Retreat

On Friday, July 22nd and Saturday, July 23rd the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation was honored to offer a warm welcome and host our Board of Directors, Board Committee Members and Foundation Leadership Team at the Board of Directors Retreat. This was a very exciting time for the auxiliaries to welcome our Board considering this was the first retreat calendared in seven years.

The 2022 Pepsi Scholarship recipients were honored at Kellogg West during the retreat. The scholarship was awarded to deserving Foundation Student Employees. The annual scholarship is made possible through the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation Dining Services Beverage partnership with the Pepsi Bottling Group.

The retreat was not only a time for a discussion of Strategic Initiatives but also an opportunity for the doors to Kellogg House to be opened to our Board of Directors for a dinner experience in the formal dining room in the likes and spirit of the day and age of Mr. Kellogg himself. Our culinary team consisting of Chefs Tonya Tardd, Kris Arguin and Jose Rodriguez prepared and presented a feast that highlighted the immense talent within the walls of the Foundation. The hospitality which was extended by the Kellogg West team led by Toby Bushee was done so with absolute excellence.

Our Board members were also invited to experience tours of AGRIscapes, IBW and the Foundation’s Fair Oak’s Walk and property owned by the Foundation.

The Board of Directors expresses sentiments of appreciation for all that the Foundation is doing to ensure that the students of Cal Poly Pomona are empowered while on their educational journey.?
