Hello from the Cainiao team.

In September, we continued to double down on industry partnerships and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) efforts.

We are honored to be named Forbes China’s “2023 Best ESG Practice Employer”. Out of nearly 500 companies, Cainiao was the only logistics company on the prestigious list.

In the same vein, we signed an extended partnership with Bureau Veritas to establish an international green logistics certification and accreditation system. From driving collaboration on sustainable development to developing solutions for green services, the partnership will contribute to our overall aim of creating a greener logistics ecosystem.

?We are continuously innovating with partners to augment logistics and create customer value. In a recent partnership with Changan Automobile, we are making rapid strides in the automotive sector to revolutionize automotive logistics practices with a focus on factory logistics, vehicle distribution, and spare parts management.

Together with Taobao Hong Kong, we launched a direct shipping service catered to small and light parcels shipped from the Chinese mainland to Hong Kong. 2.6 million Cainiao users in Hong Kong are now able to enjoy RMB6 self-pickup delivery fee for packages weighing 500g or less.

Forbes China Named Cainiao as the Best ESG Practice Employer

Cainiao was named the “2023 Best ESG Practice Employer” by Forbes China. It stood out for its industry leading ESG solutions and policies among nearly 500 competitors, being the sole logistics company selected for the prestigious list.

Cainiao was commended for utilizing its digital capabilities to achieve end-to-end green logistics, achieving a noteworthy goal of recycling and reusing over 23 million cardboard boxes in FY2023, as well as establishing its first-ever Employee Experience Committee to cultivate a more inclusive and collaborative work environment.

Cainiao Collaborates with Bureau Veritas on Global Green Logistics Certification

Cainiao and Bureau Veritas signed an extended partnership with the aim of establishing an international green logistics certification and accreditation system.

The partnership will also entail both parties collaborating on green and sustainable development, developing solutions for green services such as corporate carbon management and comprehensive energy management, among others.

Cainiao Partners with Changan Automobile on Logistics Asset Management

Cainiao is making rapid strides in the automotive sector, with a recent collaboration with Changan Automobile in logistics asset management. This adds to their impressive list of partnerships, including BMW Brilliance, BYD, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Huichuan United Power, and Ningbo Greater Group.

With a focus on factory logistics, vehicle distribution, and spare parts management, Cainiao Logistics Technology offers a seamless one-stop solution for the industry. This dynamic partnership signifies a shared commitment to revolutionize automotive logistics practices.

Cainiao Launches Direct Mail Services for Small and Light Parcels in Hong Kong

Cainiao has partnered with Taobao Hong Kong to launch a direct shipping service catered for small and light parcels shipped from the Chinese mainland to Hong Kong.

The city’s 2.6 million Cainiao users will be able to enjoy a special RMB 6 self-pickup delivery fee for packages weighing 500g or less, further empowering them to meet their online shopping needs whenever and wherever they want.
