February is a month of festivities for us as we celebrate Lunar New Year (LNY) or Spring Festival. To safeguard deliveries ahead of LNY, we rolled out logistics initiatives that have benefited our customers through shorter delivery times and a greater assortment of deliverable items. We have also forged new partnerships with merchants to strengthen our leading position in the global logistics network.

We partnered with eCommerce platform AliExpress to launch a seven-day express delivery service for oversized parcels in South Korea, provided discounted shipping options for goods purchased by Hong Kong residents at seven Freshippo outlets in Shenzhen for the first 10 days of February, and collaborated with snack producer Oranges Are In Bloom to provide B2B warehousing and distribution services in the Zhejiang provincial region.

We also demonstrated improved profitability with our recent quarter earnings announcement, recording a 24% year-over-year revenue growth to RMB28,476 million (US$4,011 million), primarily driven by revenue from cross-border fulfillment solutions.

Within the Alibaba ecosystem, we supported the expansion of AliExpress’ eCommerce marketplace Choice by providing parcel bundling and direct shipping to AliExpress customers. The close collaboration has already seen success, with the Cainiao-AliExpress joint Choice warehouse for exports reporting a six-fold growth in stock volume year-over-year.


AliExpress, Cainiao Launch Seven-Day Oversize Parcel Delivery Service in South Korea

Together with AliExpress, we

launched a seven-day express delivery service for oversized parcels in South Korea. With this, consumers in South Korea can expect to receive their furniture, home appliances, and other large-sized parcels within one week.

Cainiao Q3 Results: Revenue Grew 24% YoY to US$4,011 Million

Alibaba Group has announced its earnings results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023, in which our revenue grew 24% year-over-year to RMB28,476 million (US$4,011 million), primarily driven by the success of our cross-border fulfilment solutions.

We also delivered an adjusted EBITA of RMB961 million (US$135 million), demonstrating improved profitability.

Cainiao Ships Gifts from Mainland China to Hong Kong Ahead of Lunar New Year

During the first 10 days of February, we provided discounted shipping options for goods purchased by Hong Kong residents from seven Freshippo outlets in Shenzhen. Customers can make use of this offer to stock up on gifts for family and friends during the Lunar New Year.

Our services extend beyond the Alibaba ecosystem. Shoppers at wholesale grocery chain stores like Sam’s Club or Costco can also use their respective mobile applications to send purchases to Hong Kong.

We recently partnered with F&B chain Oranges Are In Bloom to leverage our digital supply chain technology to provide efficient B2B warehousing and distribution services in the Zhejiang provincial region.
