Canadian Air Defence Sector Showcases Cutting-Edge Cloud-Based Command System

The Canadian Air Defence Sector (CADS) is taking a significant step forward in modernizing its tactical command and control capabilities. At 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base (CFB) North Bay, a groundbreaking demonstration of the new cloud-based command and control (CBC2) software integrator recently took place. This initiative is part of the broader DAF BATTLE NETWORK’s Advanced Battle Management System, designed to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Modernizing CFB Esquimalt: Minister Sajjan Unveils New B Jetty

On February 5, 2025, Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt advanced its naval infrastructure modernization with the official inauguration of the new B Jetty. The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, President of the King’s Privy Council for Canada and Minister of Emergency Preparedness, presided over the ceremony, representing the Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, and the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, and Quebec Lieutenant.

Canada Strengthens NATO Alliance, Welcomes Sweden to Canadian-Led Multinational Brigade in Latvia

The Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Bill Blair, issued the following statement on February 7, 2025:

“For over 75 years, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has stood as a cornerstone of global security and stability, demonstrating that the collective strength of its 32 members can overcome the most pressing challenges of our time, including in the face of Russia’s unjustifiable and illegal war in Ukraine. As NATO approaches its 76th anniversary this April, Canada reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the Alliance’s core values of individual liberty, human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.
