CAC2023 Post Show Report(23rd China International Agrochemical&Crop Protection Exhibition)

After the pandemic, as spring arrives, the eagerly anticipated event by global agrochemical professionals—23rd China International Agrochemical & Crop Protection Exhibition (CAC2023), has been grandly held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from May 23rd to 25th, 2023. Concurrently, 13th China International Fertilizer Show (FSHOW2023) and 23rd China International Agrochemical & Crop Protection Equipment Exhibition (CACE2023) has been held.

Faced with the complex and ever-changing international landscape, agricultural production safety and the stability of global agrochemical supply chain have become even more critical. The industry yearns for face-to-face communication with greater urgency. CAC2023 has fully leverages its role as global industry platform, inviting domestic and foreign professionals to participate. CAC2023 has utilizes four exhibition halls of 5.2, 6.2, 7.2, and 8.2, at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), with the exhibition area surpassing 100,000square meters for the first time. The event has gathered 1,775 exhibiting companies and 33,137 industry professionals from 112 countries and regions, achieving an attendance of 62,717 for business negotiations and discussions , with all figures hitting new highs.

This grand event has provided a showcase for exchanges and trade cooperation in the global agrochemical industry, offering new insights into the development of the industry's globalization within the context of domestic and international dual circulation.

The exhibition scale has reached a new high, and the global cohesion of CAC has been further enhanced

After a two-year hiatus, both domestic and foreign exhibitors have swiftly returned. 1,775 companies including Industry leaders from around the world have gathered in the eight major exhibition areas of CAC, resulting in a record-breaking exhibition area of 102,000 square meters, making this year's event even larger in scale.

Overseas Pavilion has experienced a robust recovery, with 151 exhibiting companies from 25 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Egypt, France, ermany, Italy, India, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Russia,South Korea, South Africa, Spain, Singapore, Switzerland,the Netherlands, the United States, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Among them, South Korea and India have organized national pavilions for showcasing and exchanging experiences. Compared with the previous edition, the number of exhibitors and exhibition space of CAC2023 have increased by 18% and 20% respectively.

Over the three-day event, 1,775 exhibiting companies and 33,137 industry professionals from 112 countries and regionswith an attendance of 62,717 have participated for business negotiations and discussions. During the exhibition, more than 60 reports were released, creating an agrochemical information feast for the industry. Distinguished guests at the event discussed the current state and future development opportunities of global pesticide market, interpreted the development of China's pesticide industry, exchanged ideas on the synergy between genetically modified crops and the pesticide industry, analyzed the registration and management of biological pesticides in China, the European Union, the United States, and Southeast Asia, shared the latest advances in global biological pesticides and bio-control technologies, and provided a platform for communication and connection between agrochemical enterprises, registration testing units, and professional consulting organizations. They also shared experiences in international market expansion and promoted global pesticide registration.

The fertilizer industry conference, with the theme "Deep Integration, Expanding Opportunities," is divided into four major sections: fertilizer development and trade, specialty fertilizer development and applications, biostimulants, and fertilizer additives and synergists. The discussions explore the long-term impact of global events on the international fertilizer industry, global fertilizer market demands and supplies, the new development pattern of domestic and international dual cycles, high-quality development in the fertilizer industry, and the construction of a strong agricultural nation. Additionally, the conference covers the latest policies, cutting-edge developments, and corporate dynamics in the fertilizer sector, analyzing industry opportunities and challenges.

Guests from all corners of the world gather to seek development opportunities

ICAMA, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has been invited by CAC organizer to participate in the exhibition andrelated events, and held China-Vietnam Pesticide Management Technology Exchange Meeting and the China-Russia Pesticide Industry Development Exchange Meeting with the Vietnam Plant Protection Bureau and the Russian Pesticide Manufacturers Association.During the meetings, they shared relevant experiences in pesticide management, discussed strengthening intergovernmental exchanges, promoting industrial cooperation, facilitating international trade exchanges, and accelerating the use of high-quality Chinese products and new technologies in Vietnam and Russia, to promote overseas registration and trade cooperation.

Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Institute along with excellent South Korean agrochemical companies, participated in the form of Korean Pavilion in CAC2023. They organized Korean Excellent Agrochemical Products Promotion Conference to showcase outstanding agricultural supplies and foster cooperation and exchanges between the agrochemical industries of China and South Korea.

CAC2023, with the professional display of numerous exhibitors and active participation from peers around the world, saw a bustling exhibition hall with lively exchanges. The high-level professional conferences were filled with distinguished guests, fostering the integration of ideas for industry development. This year marks a critical period, bridging the "14th Five-Year National Plan for Pesticide Industry Development" and laying the foundation for achieving high-quality development in the pesticide industry.
