CABG
Hello all iam anitha now iam going to say about corrnary artery bypass grafting.
Other names: Coronary artery bypass surgery.
Coronary artery bypass surgery, also known as coronary artery bypass graft, is a surgical procedure to treat coronary artery disease, the buildup of plaques in the arteries of the heart. It can relieve chest pain caused by CAD, slow the progression of CAD, and increase life.
During coronary artery bypass surgery, the surgeon removes a piece of blood vessel from the leg, chest, arm, or belly. Then, the surgeon uses that piece of blood vessel (called a "graft") to reroute blood around the blocked artery. The surgery is called "bypass surgery" because it bypasses the blockage.
CABG is a major surgery, which means there are some potential risks and complications. While most of these risks and complications are avoidable or treatable, it's still important to understand them. Possible risks include: Irregular heart rhythms.
It is the most dangerous and complicated process for cardiologist.
