The CABA DLI Detective Has Arrived

As our industry matures and innovations are adopted, we feel it's critical to be able to offer the one-on-one support for each an everyone of our clients. Getting the tools that you need to understand your facility's capabilities, while providing critical analysis is the recipe for our shared success. With that in mind our engineering team, led by Brett Horstketter , developed a DLI analysis tool that takes much of the guess work out of creating a supplemental lighting plan.

With the DLI Detective growers can get accurate historical data on the amount of sunlight available at a specific address. This tool allows the user to enter in key metrics such as: glazing efficiency and target DLI. With these two variable accounted for, a report is automatically generated for the facility that show when supplemental lighting would be required to hit the target DLI and how much is needed.

Additional tools such as the DLI to PPFD calculator further allows a user to generate Photoperiod specific PPFD requirements for their lighting plan.

These simple and free to use tools take the guess work out of one of the most critical environmental components greenhouse growers face when making strategic decisions on what crops to grow and when.

But they are not limited to the greenhouse! In non-mixed lighting grow environments users can still set a DLI target to use the DLI growing methodology by setting the glazing efficiency to 0%! This will allow users to determine the PPFD required at canopy to hit DLI targets at specific photoperiods without having to do any back of napkin calculating.
