Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, organize, and draft special publications for internal and external distribution.
• Develop and design content for internal newsletters, supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Assist with media, public, and stakeholder inquiries across CDSS programs.
• Prepare press releases, Public Records Act responses, communication plans, web copy, and social media content.
• Communicate with program staff, media, and the public regarding Department activities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to create compelling, accurate, and engaging content.
• Enthusiastic about supporting CDSS's mission to uplift California's residents.

Telework: Eligible for telework, with occasional in-person attendance required.

• Convenient location near public transportation, parks, restaurants, and the State Capitol.
• Hybrid telework options available under California Government Code Section 14200.
