C2C Cycle Challenge completed in under 72 hours

Yesterday I completed the C2C Challenge cycling 135 miles from the West coast of Whitehaven on the Irish Sea across the Lake District and the Moors to Roker seafront on the North East coast of Sunderland at the North Sea. I set myself a 3 day target (72 hours) which considering I hadn't sat on a bike for the best part of 10 years and had no preparation was a big ask. Arriving at the finishing line at 14:33 pm meant achieving the target, with 27 minutes to spare.

The reason for doing this challenge was to raise vital funds for the Post Office Horizon Scandal victims whilst also raising funds for a number of charities who have supported these long suffering Postmasters over the years. It was also important to support these charities for their recent work during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. The charities I chose to support are NHS Together Charity, Mental Health 'Mind' Charity and Food Bank Charities. As the amount needed for the Crowd Justice page decreases, currently we require exactly £13,000 to hit our £98,000 target it would mean should I get close to the £50,000 target I set for the challenge, £37,000 of that would end up with the above charities....a huge 74% of the total raised compared to the original idea of 25% of all donations. With all the signatures on this petition that equates to £5.03 (Five Pounds and Three Pence) to hit that £50,000 target whilst also sending a large windfall to charity. Can you afford to support us and those charities today? Use the link below to donate and share with your friends, family and colleagues :-

My C2C challenge will be covered in tomorrows Daily Express (Mon 13th July) if you would like to buy a copy!

If you would rather pledge direct to the Crowd Justice page you can do so below.....please note Alan Bates founder of the Justice for Sub Postmasters Alliance has stated that anyone who pledges will receive that pledge back should we be successful in our claim for our £46 million of legal costs to be refunded by the government. You must keep a copy of the receipt of your pledge once your card is charged on the 15th July at 6pm. The return of the pledge will need to be made via the JFSA website only when / if our case is successful in retrieving these legal costs :-

Today two newspapers have covered our push for justice once again.  The Sunday People owned by the Mirror group and the Sunday Express. Both of these tabloids have supported our campaign over the last few years. If you can buy a copy please do to support their work and thanking them for highlighting our pain and suffering at the hands of Post Office Ltd, a 100% government owned company. If you can't afford to buy a copy I have included the links to both stories below :-
