?The world is on a boil,

War, floods, famine, turmoil.

Israel - Hamas, Moscow - Ukraine,

The main players in this drama of death and pain.

Well-wishers have tried to counsel restraint

But possibility of cease fire still remain faint.

Hostages, elderly people, women, even children from school

Still being held captive as a bargaining tool

.

One wonders, the purpose, one needs to understand

Is this chaos and mayhem just for more and more land?

Or just lust for power of a tyrannical state head

Who feeds his obsession by counting the dead?

?

Will there ever come a time when mankind will learn,

To coexist peacefully and sincerely spurn

All thoughts of power, or greed or lust,

And embrace the mantra of being fair and just.

Of being equally happy to give and receive

And perceive

That the whole wide world is one big family,

And all should live with love and amity
