Sen. Alex Padilla discussed the importance of having a “balanced mindset” in considering how to foster innovation while being mindful of any potential risks.

Sen. Peter Welch shared his thoughts that the benefits of health care AI need to be for the public good.

Nawar Shara , Henry Chang , Dr Lee Kaplan and Rajarshi Banerjee , moderated by Michael Barnes , had a thought-provoking conversation about how lawmakers can develop appropriate policy to encourage the main-stream adoption of FDA-cleared medical devices to empower physicians and patients to realize immediate benefits with careful attention paid to building patient trust in AI in medicine.
