BytePlus Expands Digital Footprint in Thailand with New Data Center

BytePlus, a subsidiary of ByteDance, is set to establish a data center in Thailand by 2025, marking a significant expansion into the country’s digital ecosystem. This move aligns with ByteDance’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the ASEAN region, leveraging Thailand's growing e-commerce industry, particularly with major retail brands and OTT service providers.

Collaborating with Light Up Total Solution Public Co Ltd (LTS), BytePlus aims to enhance Thailand's social commerce market, valued at US$2.5 billion, through advanced live commerce solutions. Monticha Kongthavee, BytePlus’s enterprise head, highlights the company's focus on AI-driven recommendation engines, predicting a 30% boost in gross merchandise value for businesses.

LTS CEO, Putt Tratkosit, foresees a 34% growth in the social commerce market by 2024, reaching US$8.6 billion by 2029. With partnerships and innovative solutions like BytePlus Effects and BytePlus Cloud, BytePlus and its collaborators are poised to revolutionize Thailand’s digital economy.
