Bye bye, Canon...

I made a very big and scary professional decision this week. After shooting for years on Canon (and amassing all the kit), I've changed to the Fuji X series. Took a lot of soul-searching and research, I can tell you, but after struggling carrying around a backpack full of Canon gear in Cannes this year, the choice was much clearer. You can see the difference in this shot. The Fuji X-T2 vs the Canon 5d Mk3. The fact I've owned and loved the Fuji X100t for a couple of years helped too... so better camera, better value and no more backache for me...

I changed to a Fuji X-T2 about 18 months ago, the only time I miss the Canon is when I'm shooting with flash in the studio, other than that its a great camera and the 16-55mm is a fabulous lens for everyday work.? Your back will thank you for making the switch.?

Oh wow, my partner did all the research on the Sony ....and well owns two....great thing is that we can use the old canon lenses, just the menu at times is annoying ....are you happy with your Fuji?

I've got a Fuji x100 and a bunch of 35mm film SLRs at home. In my opinion the best camera is the one you've got with you, so the more portable the better!

I totally agree Julian, Canon seem to be stuck in a rut and much as I have loved my 5D II it's time to downsize. Like you I have agonised over the reduction in format size. But I have recently purchased the Fuji X-T2, 16-55mm f2.8 and the 35mm f1.4 and the bottom line is it's great. Waiting now for the 80mm macro due hopefully later this year.
