Bye 2024, Welcome 2025

Dear All,

This year has been incredible, with huge personal and professional milestones. Some downs and many ups, meeting and working with many great people and crunching loads of numbers and data. It was really nice to look back to this year. Also, thank you all for staying here and for all the reactions, comments, and messages - this means so much to me and gives me all the motivation to keep working on new, fun, and useful stuff!

Here, I wanted to wrap it up and collect all the learning materials - most of which were born this year. 2 books purchased from 70+ countries, 3 online courses with nearly 20.000 students, about two dozen videos on YouTube and 50+ tutorials on Medium. You will find links to all of them here.

And what I certainly plan for next year:

• Keep on sharing data science and geospatial news on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and Substack
• New courses on different topics. I would like to hear your opinion as well. What would you like to learn next year?
• More live online and in-person opportunities to meet and network
• Introducing the #365Papers and the #100Maps challenges
• Re-booting my YouTube channel and being much more consistent there
• More tutorials on Medium
• Deeper exploration of a few new (for me) domains, such as spatial data + agriculture
• A new book? Books? Maybe!
