Royal footage restored with Phoenix

A rare 16mm clip of the late Queen and new King was scanned on DFT Scanity and restored by ITV Content Services using?Phoenix, and was shown at the coronation of King Charles III! Give it watch...

We demoed Loki 2.0 at MPTS

Using a Proline Ultimate Pro Workstation from?Exacta Technologies, we were able to give a glimpse of what Loki 2.0 can do to all visitors who came to our stand. If you couldn't catch it in person, you can watch our demo video here.

Now this political masterpiece has premiered again at the Berlinale with thanks to?R3store, and takes 'Create Incredible' through his process, and why art is political.

The Filmworkz family is expanding: Tristan joins us as a skilled C++ programmer with a passion for solving complex problems. He'll be optimizing the speed, efficiency, and functionality of our Nucoda, Phoenix, and Loki platforms, and improve your user experience - meet the team!

The third instalment of our?Filmworkz Classroom?-?Lock it & Stop it DVO Frame Lock?- will be getting underway on 13/06, with none other than our own Phoenix Jedi,? Bj?rn Lantz ! It's been great hearing some of the responses for our Classrooms and we are excited to?keep pushing the boundaries?- sign up is open, make sure you get a spot!

Jo Griffin ?will also be attending the?Footage Market Place?in?London?and displaying our impressive?Dorian Weber collection, meeting other creative professionals and archive researchers. Make sure to swing by and?say hello?if you're planning to attend!

A few weeks later, we'll also be making an appearance at Il Cinema Ritrovato?in?Bologna, a festival dedicated to the?history of cinema, screening classics, retrospectives and showcasing the?latest restored films?from labs and archives around the world. Its?not one to miss, and the team are looking forward to meeting other film fans, and the food!

June is a buzzing month for?film festivals, and we wish everyone luck who is nominated or involved. We'll be checking out the? British Film Institute (BFI) Film on Film Festival, an homage to the celluloid structure of film, showing some?much-loved and lesser known classics, as well as?talks and workshops?- we hope to see you there!

Unorthodox?(2020) was a deeply moving and insightful look in to a culture that I previously knew little about; based on a true coming of age story, a Hasidic Jewish woman flees an arranged marriage in Brooklyn to start a new life abroad, but her past catches up to her. Her story is completely inspiring and uplifting.
