Buzz around ChatGPT

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is an AI chatbot developed based on GPT-3.5. GPT-3.5 stands for third-generation?Generative Pre-trained Transformer?and is a Large Language Model(LLM).

LLM is an artificial intelligence tool capable of performing text-related tasks such as text generation, long-form question answering, copywriting, translation etc. Large Language Models (LLMs) are trained with massive amounts of data to predict what word comes next in a sentence accurately.

But, LLMs are limited in that they don’t always understand exactly what a human wants. ChatGPT is trained with an additional layer of?Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF)?that uses human feedback to help ChatGPT learn the ability to generate responses that are satisfactory to humans.

OpenAI's GPT-3 has a deep neural network of?175 billion parameters?and was trained on?570 gigabytes of text.

Who created ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is created by San Francisco-based artificial intelligence organization,?OpenAI. OpenAI is an artificial intelligence (AI) research laboratory consisting of the for-profit corporation OpenAI LP and its parent company, the non-profit OpenAI Inc.

Open AI has created the famous?DALL·E, a deep-learning model that generates images from text instructions called prompts.

What are the use cases of ChatGPT?

  1. Use it to brainstorm ideas and titles for the next content.
  2. Generate first drafts of the content.
  3. Use it to play with word limits.
  4. Naming your next product.
  5. Write Code and Debug
  6. Translation on the go
  7. Lesson plans for teachers
  8. Learn complex concepts in easy language. i.e. Ask ChatGPT to explain to you something like a five-year-old.
  9. Generates keywords and product descriptions
  10. To classify information & form tables?

There are many more unique and exciting use cases. Try it yourself!

What are the limitations of ChatGPT?

  1. It may generate incorrect information.
  2. It may occasionally produce harmful instructions or biased content.
  3. Limited knowledge of the world and events after 2021.
  4. ChatGPT Requires Highly Detailed Instructions

Can ChatGPT Content Be Identified?

Researchers at Google and other organizations have worked on algorithms for successfully detecting AI-generated content for many years. They discovered that some statistical features of the AI-generated text, such as the Gunning-Fog Index and Flesch Index scores, were useful for predicting whether a text was computer generated, even if that text had used an algorithm designed to evade detection.

In simpler terms, OpenAI researchers have developed cryptographic watermarking that will aid in the detection of content created through an OpenAI product like ChatGPT. The watermarking that the researcher developed is based on cryptography. Anyone with the key can test a document to see if it has a digital watermark that shows an AI generates it.

The ideal use of ChatGPT will be for the first draft or initial development. After that, improvise it with value-adding content as Google's Search Engine will not promote the AI-generated content.

Is ChatGPT free?

Yes, ChatGPT is free as of now. But, OpenAI is planning to introduce paid version too. Microsoft announced on September 22, 2020 that it had licensed "exclusive" use of GPT-3; others can still use the public API to receive output, but only Microsoft has access to GPT-3's underlying model.

Let's end this article with the question "Do you think this article is written by ChatGPT?"
