BUYERS OVERWHELM
This is a major issue for our wedding couples.
The problem for us as Wedding Venues & Vendors is that 'Buyers Overwhelm' creates 'Buyers Paralysis'. Meaning couples find it hard to book. All because of overwhelm.
Can I share an example of when this happened to me?
Why one day I walked into a major super market I couldn't buy shampoo. Let me explain...
For 10 years I lived and worked in various countries across the Caribbean and Asia, delivering destination weddings to couples.
For 1 of those years I lived in Cuba. Yes amazing beaches and the most incredible people. At that time, shops were mostly bare. (Remember the images of our super markets after Covid panic buying? Empty shelves? That's how everyday life was).
I quickly got used to having limited choice. And it made life easier.
When a shop had a bottle of shampoo you'd buy it. Brand, colour of bottle or marketing promises didn't matter. I bought the one shampoo available. There was no choice.
12 months later and back in the UK. I went to a major supermarket and looked down the aisle filled with 100's of choices of shampoo.
So many choices, styles, colours and options. [Buyers overwhelm] It was too much and I didn't want to read the back of every bottle, so I bought nothing. [Buyers Paralysis].
This happens to our wedding couples. Think of the millions of choices at every step of wedding planning. It's incredibly overwhelming. Make your buying journey easy for them, don't overwhelm them with too many choices while allowing for them to feel they can personalise your offering to suit their needs.
