Want to be a coach?
Okay. You're a coach.
That's how simple it is to get in this business, which is why those seeking coaching services should look under the hood before engaging a coach.
Here are some questions to ask yourself before hiring a coach:
?? Has this person been where I want to go? Being a coach for X number of years doesn't mean a thing if that person hasn't actually been where you want to go.
Don't believe me? Book an appointment to go skydiving with someone who has never actually jumped out of a plane. Then come back and tell us what the experience was like.
?? Is this person's fees too good to be true? Lower coaching fees mean one one thing. The person you are about to hire is a rookie.

Save your money until such time as you can afford to hire someone who has the experience to help you rapidly achieve your goals.
??Does this person have a notable client list? Do they work with people you can relate to or are they helping more junior people?
The higher up in the organization you go, the more complex things get. Does the coach you're considering have the depth of experience to help someone at your level? If the answer to this question is "Well, kinda." keep looking.
??Am I able to access this person when I need them or only during scheduled calls? Important question, given the fast-pace of business today.
Can you really afford to wait until tomorrow (or 10 days from today) to speak with your coach about an urgent business matter?
