Where does the time go?? I have been trying to get around to this update all week!

Since the last post, we have reached the end of our ownership year with Bella Cavalla and we have had another run from Stryder albeit that it was a slightly disappointing run with him beaten due to the quick ground at Windsor.

I thoroughly enjoyed Royal Ascot a couple of weeks ago mainly because it was brilliant from a betting perspective and made me a packet!? I have been battling not to give it back to the bookies since.

Bella Cavalla

I wrote to all the Bella Cavalla shareholders last week to outline my plans with her.? I will keep her in ownership for at least a couple of months while I process renewals and get a handle on how much of her I am likely to get sold on to her shareholders.? If I do not get enough of her sold, then I will refund the costs for the remainder of the year, but hopefully, that will not be necessary.

I should have?about 10 days to process renewals before Bella Cavalla is due to run again on Wednesday 17th July.? This is a race back at Uttoxeter where she ran well before and our trainer, Neil Mulholland, is keen to look at this one.

Now is a great time to get involved as you will get the full year of ownership.? A 2% share is ￡754 for the year from 1st July to 30th June 2025 and can be paid monthly.? There are discounted rates for 5% and 10% shareholders as well, please contact me for details.

Stryder

Stryder ran a poor race at Windsor last weekend but the jockey immediately fed back to say that he was never going on the ground.? It was very?firm and we need to find him a bit of a softer surface.

He did not have a hard race, so he will be ready to run on a quick turnaround and he has entries at Wolverhampton on Monday and Brighton on Tuesday.

Brighton is the preferred option, but we would need some rain to soften the ground.? We need to declare for Wolverhampton tomorrow morning, so we will look at the Brighton going report and weather forecast tomorrow morning before making a decision.

Inside The Rails

I have recently taken over the editing and production of the Inside The Rails podcast and I was thrown right in at the deep end with a tough edit whilst still learning the tools!? It was a nightmare and took me several hours in two stints.? There were some bits that I just could not fix but I got it into a state where I was at least OK with it being released!

Winners From Our?Stables

Not that many runners during Ascot week from our yards and things were quite quiet the following week both in terms of runners and winners as we had no successes to report.

July started well though!

Neil Mulholland thought that there was an upcoming race that might offer Hidden Depths a better chance of winning than his race last Monday, but Hidden Depths decided he would not wait for that one and won his race at Worcester instead!? It looked a tough task, so it was great to see him finish in front.??Neil had two other placed runners the same day with Emerald Quest and Inspector Lynley both coming third.

Michael Attwater had a 2nd on the 2nd when Nordic Glory was placed and Neil has a second winner yesterday when Earth Cry made the long trip up to Perth worthwhile with a win.
