Busy vs. Growth:

Busy, But With What?

Lately, I’ve been feeling frustrated.

Every day is packed—client calls, networking, everyday life. But the important projects? They're untouched. The things I dream about—organizing retreats, launching learning communities, expanding this newsletter—are all still sitting on my list, waiting.

Waiting for what?

The Universe keeps sending me signs, 1919: "Before you can open a new door, you have to close the old one."

And I finally got it.

Opportunity Cost is Real

The reason I don't have time for new, meaningful projects is because I’m giving it away to everything else—to things that just come my way.

I’ve finished ??“This is Strategy” by Seth Godin.

I canceled a couple of speaking events, networking, workshops, coffees.

Sure, they were great opportunities… potentially, for someone else.

But...

A) I wasn't key to their success—they’d manage just fine without me, and

B) they weren't aligned with my future vision—wrong audience, wrong topic.

Tim Ferriss ,

"Being busy is a form of laziness—lazy thinking and indiscriminate action."

I was being lazy, hiding behind the busyness to avoid the discomfort of saying no.

It felt uncomfortable. Saying no often does.

Yes, I'll miss out.

I'll miss out to make room for the things that matter.

Make Space for Growth??

  • The time you spend with clients who aren’t the right fit is the time you’re not spending with those who’d truly value your work.
  • The time you spend on just any meeting is the time you’re not investing in the partnerships that could transform your business.
  • The time spent on “anyone interesting” is time you're not becoming the best version of yourself for those who elevate your game.

On Strategy

No one arrives at greatness by chance.

Be intentional.

Eliminate - that’s how you make space for what truly matters.

Angela, Helping Your Best Make Tough Choices

PS: You might have any thoughts on Trump or Musk - but one thing you got to respect in those guys, the things they accomplished weren’t by chance. Their strategy is off the charts. Learn from it.
