Bustles and Bombs: Suffragettes in Surrey - Libraries Week Showcase

Bustles and Bombs: Suffragettes in Surrey was hosted by historian Tim Richardson and provided the audience with an incredibly interesting talk about the history of the Suffragettes.

The talk focused on an important historical news story from the area – Suffragette Emily Wilding Davison at the Epsom Derby, as well as the wider Suffragette movement.

This event run alongside the amazing ‘Breaking the News’ display that toured around some of the libraries in Surrey.

It was a sold out event with 41 people attending the event at Epsom Library on Thursday 9th?June 2022.
