My Grandson was learning how to ride his new bike – now, without training wheels. He was afraid of falling on the sidewalk with the scrapes, burning and blood. We went to the park, had him ride on the lawn where falling was almost guaranteed softer…..we removed his fear of pain from falling. In fact, I taught him how to fall. Amazing, after two tries (by the way, without falling) he was riding across the field, with this big grin on his face.
