Processes are the skeleton of your organization - they hold everything together and sometimes they don't ... if your not managing them effectively.
From procurement to deployment, sales to customer service, every single action in a business is part of a process. Understanding what processes you have and how effective and efficient they are at meeting your customer's needs is the first step towards beginning a business process improvement program.
To start, you need to identify and document each of your processes in a standard way, ideally in a robust business process management (bpm) solution. There are a lot of options in the market. Putting the effort in here will provide you with a clear picture of how your business functions on a daily basis. Remember that you can't manage what you don't measure.
It’s about answering the 'who', 'what', 'where', 'when', 'why', and 'how' of every task. Once you have a comprehensive understanding of your processes, you can begin to analyze them.

Analysing your processes involves studying them in depth to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas of waste. It allows you to see the inner workings and find any hidden fractures that need fixing. This stage involves gathering and interpreting data, observing processes in action, and gathering input from employees.
It's also essential to measure the performance of your processes against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This will not only help identify underperforming processes but also establish a benchmark for future improvements.

Once the diagnosis is done, it's time to implement your treatment plan. This involves re-engineering your processes to make them more efficient and effective. The aim is to eliminate waste, streamline tasks, reduce errors, and improve overall productivity.
