PFAS RELATED CORPORATE NEWS FROM SEC FILINGS DURING THE LAST WEEK

Home Depot reports that the company has update the corporate chemical strategy to eliminate PFAS chemicals in any new private-brand patio and home decor products sold in their US or Canadian stores by the end of fiscal year 2025.

Ballard Power Systems Inc. warns that public policy and regulatory changes affecting the use of PFAS in their products could depress the market for their products and services. The company is working with their supplier base to eliminate the use of PFAS in the materials and components in their fuel cell products but there are no assurances that suppliers could successfully achieve reductions in PFAS if mandated by new regulations.

Tri State Generation & Transmission Association Inc. has taken steps to replace fire suppression systems in their generating facilities that contain PFAS with ones that don't. They are actively monitoring on-going regulatory and policy activity related to PFAS.

IMPROVED METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TREATMENT OF?PFAS?CONTAMINATED WASTEWATER AND OTHER CONTAMINANTS UTILIZING NANO-AERATION FOAM FRACTIONATION Brief Summary: A method of removing contaminants from a water media includes introducing nanobubbles into the water media to cause foam fractionation. Before the step of introducing, there can be an optional step of concentrating the contaminants. After the step of introducing, there can be an optional step of mineralizing the contaminants.

SURFACTANT-MODIFIED MONTMORILLONITE FOR ADSORPTION OF PER- AND POLYFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES (PFAS) FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS Brief Summary: A montmorillonite, preferably MT K10, modified with at least cetyltrimethyl ammonium chloride (CTAC), a cationic quaternary ammonium compound, such that the combined compound is adsorbent of short- and long-chain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and precursors. The MT-CTAC compound is particularly suited to remove?PFAS?from aqueous solutions.
