In 1998 beginning high school I bought my first Atari computer from a classmate friend. That should give you a average of my age. Since then I was fascinated about computer and what we can do with. I was one of the privileged students to use the principal' computer. In 1994, after my high school, when I head about Internet, it became obvious for me that I want to see it and get into it. I have to wait to have my first job to be able to buy a new computer and get my first Internet access from a friend working in a ISP. I always wanted to be the first not only to impress my peeps but to set the tone and also to learn more. Because I truly believed that the Internet will change our way to work. I was surfing the web like a kid in a giant park. Finally after I was doing some money by training public workers how to use the Internet to find information and other tools. After I discovered Amazon and Ebay, I start to setup an online store witch I still used the domain name. Since then I know we can definitely use Internet to create values and businesses for my future.
Today the game has changed drastically but opportunities are the same. Instead of having the web, we have now more technologies to scale and to create values for businesses and people. #Blockchain, #Internet of things, #Big data, #Augmented Reality are new buzz words like twenty years when you hear TCP/IP, VOIP, Online store, Portals and so on. I have to admit I missed these big waves driven by Tycos as Yahoo, Amazon and Ebay. Remember these some of big players didn't jump their foot first during the Internet bubble. Today they have major steak in the pie.
I'm really enjoy the Google tools and their culture to innovate. But more as a tech entrepreneur who works with #startups, I'm impressed now by #Microsoft strategy. First they integrate skype that I used lot for business purpose in Office 365. Second they build a cloud platform with all type of services you can imagine: from #IOT to #Blockchain. Pretty good job compare to google cloud witch it easy when it comes for consumer. Yes google has a lot of data about your searching experience, Facebook knows more about your personal life. And Microsoft clearly get to knows more now about your business and your partners.
Today we are using Office365 for collaboration and explore Azure to propose with our solutions. I'm impatient to see what is coming with the acquisition of LinkedIn. But Microsoft is focusing more on business side and I clearly don't want to miss these new waves with then. Thinking now how twenty of technology has change my future, I want now to be part of it deeply and start to sharp the future of businesses and people.
