Business Model That Empowers Employees To Create Value

CEOs don’t create value; employees do. Creating value for your employer and the marketplace is the core of the value giver mindset. Employees lay the golden egg.
How can an employee create value and help an organization grows, yet when she leaves, she receives nothing from what she helped create? The business model is where the challenge is. The business model of most businesses serves only a few people. I am an advocate for the Facebook and YouTube business model that empowers people to be creators and earn from their creations.
Imagine a business with a business model that allows every employee to create value and get paid for it. This is economic adulthood for companies. This helps them have a robust business model that is diversified and gives hope for the future to all employees.
The primary responsibility of every business leader should be to design a business model that makes their business a platform for their employees to create value. It empowers employees to be value creators and encourages them to collaborate with others to create value.
Such a business model gives everyone a stake in the value they created. It is the Truly Human Business Model. Facebook created a platform that empowers everyday people to create content and monetize it. They don’t create content. While the company makes money, it rewards people for the content they create. Truly Human Companies are platforms that unleash the potential and ingenuity of their people to create value.

If employees will get paid for the results they deliver or the value they create, the way they approach work will be different. They will bring all they have to work. They will migrate from the time economy to the value creation economy.
To create value for your employer, you have to trade off the job description for value creation. There is no way an employee can hold on to her position, title, or job description and still be a value creator. They have to embrace freedom in order to create value.
Unlike in time economy where you work 8-4, in value creation you work all the time. You are always creating value, looking for ways to make things better. You use your abilities more than in the time economy. When you operate in value creation no one tells you what to do, you are focused on creating greater value and opportunity. You live by your mindset, capability, and creativity. Meanwhile, those in the time economy are told what to do, how to do their work, when they need to do it, whom they need to become, and how much they can make doing the work.
In the time economy, employees depend on their employers for their economic security (called job security). They are just two paychecks away from being broke. They are constantly used for their employers’ success. But in the value creation economy, they depend entirely on their mindset, capability, and ability to collaborate with people with similar mindsets and complementary capabilities to create value. Their life is more about learning, growing, improving, creating, and collaborating.
Value Is in The Eyes of The Receiver
Design thinking is one key way to create value for humans, the value that resonates with them. Truly Human Business Model builds employees to be design thinkers or human-centered designers. They create value for humans not just a function. They use empathy and observation to understand the challenge and obstacles people have and their relationship with the challenge.
Nothing brings fulfillment and meaning like knowing that the value you are creating is helping people become more effective, simplifying their lives and multiplying their capabilities.
Design Thinking helps them understand humans as such creates value for them. To create value is to eliminate anything that will keep people from unleashing their potential. That way they help their employer capture more opportunities and develop more capabilities.
To create value for your employer, you have to understand what value really means to your employer. That requires the employee to have the freedom to observe, interview, and walk in the employer’s shoes. Design thinking helps employees create value that resonates with their employer and the marketplace.

Truly Human Business Model empowers employees to create value for all stakeholders. They create value for their employer, the customer, the investor, the supplier, the community, the industry, and the marketplace. They measure success not in terms of dollars earned but the lives impacted by the value they created.

They help their employer focus on innovating for the customer and the marketplace. In the process, they transform their employer’s competitors into partners and clients
Total Money Freedom
This is a point where an employee gets to that money is no longer a concern. Rather than focus on money, they focus on creating value and doing work they love.
Always create more value than you are paid for. It makes you a useful and valuable employee. Value creation is the right way to escape depending on your employer and working for money. You gain Total Money Freedom. When the issue of money is no longer a consideration, employers will focus on purpose and growth and what they love doing.
The way to make your future bigger and better is to ensure that you are constantly creating value. The more value you create, the more you attain Total Money Freedom.

Your business needs to design the Truly Human Business Model so as not to waste the potential of your people and enable them to release their ingenuity to create great value.
