Business Mindset Secrets Everyone Forgets

After working with thousands of clients, and turning more coaches and experts into millionaires than anyone else in the space, the question I always ask myself is: “What’s the X factor?”
In other words, what’s the ONE thing that makes the difference between a client who experiences SOME success…and clients who achieve ridiculous, off-the-charts, life-transforming success?
In a word, mindset.
Here’s why mindset is so crucial: the RIGHT game plan executed from the wrong mindset will bring lousy results.
What that means is that WHAT you do is not nearly as important as the emotional energy?behind?what you do.
If your emotional energy is off, anything you do is simply not going to be done well, period.
People nowadays love to say, "The way you do anything is the way you do everything." I'm not sure I believe that. If the way you make love to your wife or husband is the same way you defuse a bomb, you’re doing it wrong.
But it?is?true that you have an emotional home. You have a dominant emotional charge that you carry with you throughout the day. And that emotional charge colors everything you do with its own energy.
For example, we all know people who’s emotional home is fear. They’re always watching the news. They’re always dwelling on the next catastrophe.
If that’s your energy, you’re going to bring fear to your business decisions. You’ll bring fear to your marketing. You’ll bring fear to the conversations you have with potential clients, etc.
So in that sense, the way you do anything?is?the way you do everything, because you bring that same emotional energy into every situation.
All the mindset work we teach to our clients and all the mindset strategies I teach in this Group have one real purpose:?to change your emotional home.
Most people have a negative emotional home. They’ve been stuck in fear, guilt, shame, anger, or unfulfilled desire for so long that they don’t even realize it. Their default position is to feel bad, from the moment they wake up, to the moment they go to sleep.
Occasionally, they have a peak experience that brings them into a positive state. It’s Friday and they’re looking forward to the weekend. A great vacation. A wedding. Christmas morning.
But before you know it, the event passes, and they settle back down into their emotional home of unhappiness.
That’s not what I want for you, and I know it’s not what you want for yourself.
What I want for you is to reverse that entire equation, so that you spend 99% of your time in positive states of love, joy, happiness and gratitude…and then maybe take occasional day-trips down to negative town.
So how do you change your emotional home?
There’s only one way: practice. Anything you practice, you’re going to get good at. If you practice procrastinating every day, or being angry, or blaming the world for your problems, guess what? You’re going to get really good at those things.
On the other hand, if you practice gratitude, you’re going to get good at feeling happy. It might be hard it first, especially if things are bad for you right now…but you will develop the skill of happiness. And if you do it for long enough, you will change your emotional home to the point where being happy and grateful is your?default?position in life.
Nothing needs to happen for you to be happy. You’ve stopped playing that game where tell yourself, “I’ll be happy when I have a million dollars,” or, “I’ll be happy when I have my first 10 clients.”
No. You choose to practice happiness and joy now. When you do that, you very quickly realize that the source of happiness is inside of you, and you’ll start to feel that way all the time.
Here’s two practice that have changed my life, that you can start TODAY:

1) GRATITUDE
Every day, in the shower, I practice gratitude. I do it there because it’s relaxing and no one will bother me. I start by being grateful for what I have now: “Thank you, thank you, thank you for my beautiful wife and my wonderful kids. Thank you for my amazing clients.” and so on.
Then I take it to the next level by being grateful in advance for the things that I want. “Thank you, thank you, thank you for my beautiful home overlooking the ocean, etc.” and I allow myself to feel all the joy and gratitude I would feel if it were real right now.
Then I go into the world and I live as if those things are already real, right now.
2) LOVE
Every day, practice radiating love to everyone around you. Imagine pure love flowing from your heart to everyone in your town…your state…your country…the whole world.
As you go through your day, consciously radiate love to everyone you see. Someone said that love is when you realize there is no difference between anything. What that means is that you are an expression of God, and so is everyone else. The same Divine Love that created you and keeps your heart beating keeps theirs beating too.
And so you think of all the ways that person is just like you. Most of the time if someone annoys us it’s because we see something in them that we don’t like in ourselves. It can be extremely powerful to just recognize that and say, “Wow…they’re just like me…”
THE BOTTOM LINE
The bottom line is this: anything you need to do in your business or your life will be a thousand times more effective if you do it under the energy of love and gratitude.
So for example, imagine you’re about to do a sales call with a potential client, and you’re coming to it with an energy of fear. You’re worried about your bank account…there’s not enough there. You really need this deal to close or you’re not going to make rent. You’re freaking out. It’s all you can think about.
Are you going to do a good job filling that client with certainty? Are you going to make that client feel heard? Feel secure? No.
What’s likely to happen is that the client will subconsciously pick up on your fear. He’ll say no, but he won’t even realize why. He’ll just become anxious. And anxious people don’t buy.
Now imagine you transform that fear to an energy of love. You take your focus off your empty bank account and off your need to make the sale and you say to yourself, “You know what? I’m going to serve this person today with everything I’ve got. Whether they buy from me or not, I’m going to serve this person, I’m going to ask tough questions, and I’m going to help this person make the best decision for them because I want the best for them.”
Now you have zero neediness. Zero fear. 100% of your attention is right where it should be - on the person you’re speaking to. And you’re far more likely to make the sale.
If you’ve been stuck in your business, sure - it might be that you’re following a bad strategy. In fact, you probably are. You’re undercharging. The marketing’s not working. You’re not enrolling the kind of clients you dream of.
But I’ll tell you something - even if your strategy is perfect, you still need to change the emotional energy from which you operate. You need to change your emotional home.
When you do that, even a broken strategy will be 1000x more effective, and guess what? You get to be happy and grateful and present WHILE you pursue your goals.
Don’t live your life on the “deferred happiness” plan.
Don’t say to yourself, “I’ll be happy when.”
Choose to be happy right now. Choose to practice love and gratitude every day. Do it in the shower where no one will bother you. Take your time. Feel your way into it. Engage your emotions.
If you do this every day, you’ll have a lot more success in your business, but even more than that, you’ll experience more joy and happiness than you ever thought possible.
And that’s something money can’t buy.
