Tech Awards to be a live immersive digital experience - a first in the south
Hosted by television presenter Vernon Kay from a studio in Reading, on September 24, the Thames Valley Tech Awards 2020 will be an interactive immersive digital experience held in the virtual world, with opportunities for networking and audience participation.

Portland Business Recovery has been appointed administrators of Ston Easton Park Hotel
Director of Hampshire based Portland, Mike Fortune commented: “We are seeing a sharp increase in business closures due to the knock-on effects of coronavirus. The hotel sector has been especially vulnerable to this pandemic."
Established in 2012, the hotel found its financial position and cashflow severely compromised following the outbreak of COVID-19. Read more...
£5.6m awarded to Hampshire County Council towards major improvements to the A326
The capital funding investment by the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) will go towrds improvements to the A326, the key road linking Southampton and Fawley, where there are plans to transform the old power station site into a thriving residential and commercial waterside community.
Aldred Drummond, CEO of Fawley Waterside said: “The LEP’s investment coupled with £2.43m from Fawley Waterside is the first phase of significant infrastructure upgrades that will be of considerable benefit to those living on the Waterside." Read more...
A survey of Thames Valley estate agents by Blandy & Blandy predicts the housing market will recover strongly by early 2021
Results of the survey show 79% of estate agents in the Thames Valley believe the number of transactions taking place would increase or return to normal levels within the next 12 months, and 71% of estate agents felt that prices would either hold firm or increase in the next 12 months. Read more...
