Business Intelligence Intern Experience at Caliber Collision

Business Intelligence Intern Experience at Caliber Collision

Summer 2023 has been an incredible journey of learning for me as I had the chance to intern at Caliber Collision as? Finance Business Intelligence - Predictive Analyst. The internship program was well-structured, not only helping me develop professional skills but also emphasizing the importance of personal growth through leadership training.

During my time at Caliber, I had the chance to explore various aspects of the company, gaining a clear understanding of what Caliber does and how different departments contribute to its success. The people at Caliber were friendly and welcoming, making me feel like a part of the team from day one. I even had the privilege of attending sessions with some of the top leaders in the company, which was a truly enlightening experience.

During this period I got to learn a new tool called Rapid miner which is a user-friendly data science platform that offers a wide range of capabilities to handle and analyze data effectively. The versatility of RapidMiner allowed me to handle various data-related tasks, including data loading, transformation, modelling and forecasting in my project. I successfully presented the valuable insights and outcomes of my project with the help of Power BI. The interactive visualizations created using Power BI proved to be an effective way to communicate the results of data analysis and modeling.

I am incredibly grateful to my manager Mark Arnold for being a super cool mentor, always receptive to my ideas and providing guidance throughout the internship. My mentor Falomy Eugene also played a significant role in guiding me through the project, and I extend my gratitude to directors Ricardo Santander and Rani Harb for their support and encouragement.

Lastly, I want to express my sincere thanks to the intern committee Tim Sam , Mark Crawford , Emma Coles, MS, SHRM for offering me this opportunity and ensuring a supportive environment for all the interns. This internship has been a truly enriching experience, and I am excited to take these valuable skills and knowledge with me as I embark on a promising career in the field of Business Intelligence and Predictive Analytics, ready to make a positive impact in the industry.

I want to express my gratitude to?Gaurav Shekhar,?Sivya Leventhal, and all the other professors at?The University of Texas at Dallas?for their support and guidance throughout my academic journey.
