The path in which our team wanted to pursue was a coaster. The property that separates us from our competition is the portability of our product. Our four-inch by four-inch coaster folds twice and can attach to any keychain to protect any surface no matter where you are.
When the MVP pitch day came around we were able to show off the second iteration of the ablecoaster. We were able to display what makes our product unique and easy to use. The most important thing that our team needs to work on and to find a real solution was criticism received from one of the judges. We need to figure out how we will sell a coaster to customers to protect the table that they do not own. There is a variety of strategies that we can take to this problem like displaying how the ablecoaster can protect papers on your desk, wiping up small messes with the absorbent material, and fitting in a car cup holder to prevent spills and protect your vehicle.
We are going to start to distribute our coasters at junior Huskies basketball games and other NNHS-related events. We are going to start by selling our product at a very discounted rate so we can acquire more sales and interactions with customers. The more times that we can interact with others about our product the more suggestions and opinions we can gather to improve the ablecoaster!
