1) Government scraps Norfolk and Suffolk devolution plans
BBC reports that "Ministers say the devolution deal agreed with the last government was not ambitious enough". In particular, the deals only made provision for directly elected leaders rather than mayors. The deals would have secured extra money for local projects: £20m a year for Norfolk and £16m a year for Suffolk, guaranteed for 30 years. 4) Latest news on Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm
Horsea 3 is currently under construction, 120 kilometres off the Norfolk coast. Once operational, it will have 2.9 gigawatts of generating capacity – providing enough green electricity to power 3.3 million UK homes.
