Business is not hard......people make it hard

It is simple stuff but people can often turn simple into difficult. Why? Because we are human....and often we are so busy projecting our stuff on to everybody else and not taking responsibility for our feelings we turn easy into impossible. (often so we do not have to deal with our emotions)

I have had three meetings today and not once did these three amazing individuals once project their stuff onto me. Did stuff come up for them ? Certainly did and they came out of their head (ego) back to "self" and looked inwardly to why this is coming up for them. All three of these people understand that they take 100% responsibility for the results they have today. They trust that I am there to work with them not against them and recognise that in order to learn you need to step out of your comfort zone. I congratulate all three of them for being incredible people and not giving into ego (sometimes much easier but only in the short term)

You see "feedback" is not good or bad its just "feedback" We as individuals put the label on the "feedback" We then often project our feelings outward rather than taking the information inwardly and learning from it.

Now understanding that many people just don't know this stuff and that is why I love what I do because once you "get it" everything including business is easier. Those of us who do have a little knowledge around it are not always "at cause" and can sometimes still be at "effect" (in other words we still do this even though we know better) Why? Because we are human. However when its pointed out to us (which happened today also to me) we can take the information around our blind spots and look at the situation from a different perspective.

So not matter where you sit on the knowledge scale these are a few things worth revisiting

• The power of the pause (when you want to fight it - stop and consider it)
• Stepping out of your comfort zone may be not so easy - that is where the learning is
• Feedback is not good or bad its just feedback (we put the labels on it !)
• You might know this stuff but you are only congruent when you put action behind your words
• We are all learning all of the time from everybody (Your ego may tell you differently)
• Little things (like our words) can make a huge difference
• Often when people are hard on others its because they are very hard on themselves

NOW I am going to say if "stuff" in your business or your life is not going the way you want it then my friend (I say with love) you have hit a road block. You have two choices 1: let it stop you 2: Get out of your comfort zone (or your own way) and learn how to get over it

Always take comfort in the fact that we are all human and someone has faced that exact problem before...
