Running a business is not easy. It takes time, focus and a constant commitment to scale with success. And, with unforeseen forces derailing even the sturdiest businesses, it is imperative to maintain a level of organization for your business operations.

Here are a few ideas to help you get more organized and save time in the future:

1.?????Build templates for email responses, standard contracts, or proposal documents: Consider the documents you use most often and create templates so that they can be easily adapted or updated for clients, instead of typing versions of the same document or email repeatedly.

2.?????Invest in a work management tool: Software tools like MONDAY.COM or CLICKUP is a better way to keep track of long lists of tasks that can be customized for each of your clients and shared through a dashboard with your staff. These tools are incredibly user-friendly and even offer limited versions that you may access for free.

3.?????Create a workflow manual: Write out every service you provide and the process it takes from start to completion. As you onboard new staff, this may serve as a training manual or standard operating procedure guideline. This will help you delegate workflow much easier with a process that is strongly aligned with your brand and level of service.

While getting organized will take time (and the practice of getting in better habits), the time it will save you in the long run makes it worthwhile. Set aside some time every morning or evening to start planning out the processes you need to get organized, which tasks take the most time or are most stressful, and start working toward practical solutions to create more seamless processes within your business.
