Business as a Force for Good: How Shot of Copy is Committed to Deliver and Support a Positive Impact Locally and Globally

There’s a real skill to converting leads to sales, but to the team at Shot of Copy, there are a some things that are far more important than simply making a sale.

Over the past few months, we’ve put our money where our mouth is and we are proudly using our skills to support projects and businesses who are making a positive impact on the world.

As many a philanthropist has declared that business can be a force for good and as such, Shot of Copy is determined to work with businesses and people who are contributing to the wellbeing of people, animals and the planet.

Here’s a few of the projects that we have recently been involved in.

We Rescue Kids

This special organisation is an American-based NFP set up to provide practical and emotional support for children who have experienced sexual abuse.

Recognising that child victims of sexual abuse and trafficking are subject to neglect, We Rescue Kids provide safe homes and ongoing counselling.?They also work to find safe, welcoming families for children who are eligible for adoption, and are determined to fix the foster care system in which abuse is frequently perpetuated.

Mahamudra Eco Village

This fully self-sustaining eco village was set to transform the way people understand and practice agriculture and health.

Based in a the foothills of the Himalayas with practical teaching around yoga and meditation, Qigong and Tai Chi, Ayurveda, Chinese herbal medicine, and tea ceremonies, Mahamudra focussed on internal wellbeing and sustainability.

They also intended to teach organic horticulture, permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and a range of other sustainable land and construction practices.

Shot of Copy were delighted to provide copy for their website, and we were devastated when we recently received news that the project had been cancelled, due to circumstances beyond their control.

Maria Micallef

Maria is an investment property specialist, which may not sound all that ethical at first. But Maria’s investment properties are NDIS-approved, which means she’s working to improve housing accessibility for people living with a disability.

It’s actually a double win, as by investing in NDIS developments, Maria is also supporting people to create positive cashflow and a reliable secondary income.

Shot of Copy have provided a messaging and sales strategy for Maria, along with her website copy and a Video Sales Letter. We’ve also coordinated with our design and videography partners to help Maria create a website that truly reflects her business values.

Mitch King

Mitch is a lending specialist with the community at the forefront of his mind. After spending over a decade in community banking, Mitch has taken up a new role as a mortgage broker… and he plans to use his role to make a real difference to the world.

PlantVibe Music Festival

PlantVibe music festival is to be the first plant-based music festival in NSW, with all proceeds going towards a range of animal sanctuaries that had been impacted by the devastating bushfires of 2019.?

Originally organised for March 2020, the event was cancelled due to government restrictions around Covid-19.

This festival was rescheduled for February 2022, and although government restrictions have put this project on hold, a smaller version of the event is going ahead.

Shot of Copy have given a promise of support for all marketing needs, and have also sponsored the PlantVibe website that is now being built.
