A Business Enhancement Toolkit; Four Tools, Many Uses.

Quite deliberately, I have never put myself in a situation where the most viable solution is to drink my own urine. I do wonder if Bear Grylls has ever questioned his life choices…??

Regardless, Grylls can survive under any conditions, because he is never without his trusty backpack of tools; knives, paracord, GPS, water, flint, instant shelter, first aid. All have multiple uses - a knife can make shelter and fire, collect water, and hunt food.?

Fortunately in business it’s unlikely you’ll be asked to consume your own bodily fluids.

And if you are, frakly, I’d be asking for a contract review.? But if you want to grow your business you will need to do some things that are deeply uncomfortable.?

There’s a misconception that business growth is best achieved by sales alone. A smarter approach is to get your business into shape so you can find the right opportunities, bid for them, win them, and execute well so you keep them. That requires deep examination of your capability, which can be challenging. Much like eating a live scorpion.?

Once done, however, you can achieve real, sustainable growth. Grylls doesn’t just survive, he thrives. Because he has the right skills, experience, and his trusty set of flexible tools.?

Image of a small metal container with the words 'GDIS Business Enhancement Toolkit'? printed at the top. There are four tools in the kit, a multitool, a hooligan tool (google it, that's its actual name! I know!), a precision scope, and a fountain pen. Basically we just thought we'd make a cheap joke and call ourselves a bunch of tools. If you're reading this alt-text I'm sorry if my description is really dodgy. It's past midnight and I really should be asleep.

Speaking of flexible tools...

This is the perfect opportunity to introduce our team; Matt Hill, Evan Read, Thomas M. Smith and myself, Jen Dainer. We’ve combined our 80+ years of business development, market intelligence, and communications expertise to form GDI Strategies, a global business development firm.?

We can help your business thrive. We make sure you’re set up to chase the right opportunities, win them and execute them well so you keep them. We operate in Asia Pacific, US, UK, and the EU within defence, government, and critical infrastructure. We can help you reduce the time, cost, and risk of realising your full market potential.?

Over the next week we’ll introduce the GDI Strategies Business Enhancement Toolkit; the respective skills of Matt Hill, Evan Read, Thomas M. Smith and me, Jen Dainer. It’s an easy way for us to show how our combined skills can help you create efficient, sustainable growth. Rest assured, we won’t be asking you to drink your own urine.?

This is a picture showing just the four tools, no human faces. Just the multitool (which, let's be honest, would have been better if I could have used the phrase 'Swiss Army Knife'? but I'm not really sure I want to get sued by Vittorinox), the Hooligan Tool, The Precision Scope, and the Fountain Pen. Just four little icons in different colours all lined up next to each other.

Wow, congratulations Jen this sounds so exciting.. x

Has there ever been a more apt description of Matt Hill than a ‘hooligan tool’..? I think not.
