Business Development Manager

Wolviston Management Services Ltd have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager based in Stallingborough.

Can you ensure business plans are met through development of new business? Are you good at sustaining long term profitable relationships with customers? If so, this may be the perfect role for you!

You will be responsible for account management of existing customers and delivering of new business for the client in bulk logistics and fresh and frozen food.

Duties:

·    Delivering new business within identified market sectors

·    Establish strong relationships with key accounts

·    Ongoing account management of existing clients

·    Cross-selling and upselling services

·    Sales and marketing to new customers using your own contacts to generate leads and enquires with new customers

·    Develop an effective marketing strategy

·    Provide excellent market, customer and competitor information to the senior leadership team and provide strategies for growing and building the business

·    Determine pricing strategy and implement price increases where appropriate

·    Generate new business through proactive techniques

·    Prospect and close new business opportunities

·    Meet new and existing clients to understand their needs and build relationships

·    Calculate and submit freight quotations and tenders efficiently and follow up accordingly

·    Complete sales reports, customer profile reports in accordance with the company quality procedures

·    Ensure legislative compliance in all areas

·    Maintain appropriate knowledge of competition and marketplace activity, reporting back any trends or developments

Experience:

·Experienced Business Development Manager with experience in the logistics sector

·Thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of the industry

·Proven track record of leading business development within the haulage or road transport industry

·Demonstrate commerciality as a key skill, such as managing price increases and pricing new business at profitable levels

·Knowledge of legal duties and requirements of these subjects
