Artificial intelligence, as it stands today, is not a complete solution. It’s a great starting point. When people refer to AI, that usually means a large language model (LLM), like ChatGPT. This type of AI can generate and refer to text, quickly linking relevant text together.

7 个月There is a lot of good advice and interesting prompts in this post, but I think the process is flawed based on the starting point. AI can help us get a lot of positioning and targeting ideas we can refine and work with to create an ideal client persona, but I wouldn't recommend starting the process with AI as the article suggests. That leaves it up to AI to determine your best customers. That needs to start with the firm, and here's how I'd do it: Identify the top 20% of your clients (those who are most profitable, buy the services you want to grow in, and refer you business). Once you have that list do pick up the phone and call them. Ask them some questions like, why did you choose us? Why do you continue to do business with us? What do we do differently than the competition? This will give you some key themes that will help you understand the real reasons clients like doing business with you. Once you have that baseline, AI prompts like the ones in this article can help you expand those ideas and create more robust ideal client profiles.
