Business complementary to ethics or substitute to ethics
I thinks business and ethics are directly proportional. But in India many non-ethical firms grows like anything and even the companies like TATA, Birlas. So question arises whether ethics is hurdles to growth or profitability. I think even in this Kaliyug, honesty is the best policy in long run even in most corrupted country like India. Pawan Ruiya, Subrata Roy, Bijoy Malia are the examples. There are many such examples. Honesty pays. Ethics pays. Empathy pays. Love pays. Friendship pays. How you manage your more ethically and statutorily after satisfying all regulatory and statutory authorities are the challenges. And good companies can adhere to these with due diligence complying with all legal formalities. In short run, you can very well fool someone. But in the long run, you can't and never can be. Choice is yours, whether you want to survive in long run, or hopping one business to other in wrong way. Again I am saying choice is yours to be or not to be.
