This past weekend, we had the honor of being a Stage and Band Sponsor for one of the largest annual events held in the tri-city area of Virginia, the Festival of Grapes and Hops, held by the Southern Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce (SOVA), which is the combined Colonial Heights Chamber of Commerce and Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, led by Executive Director, John Brandt. The event had over 4,000 guests from all over the state. Our Clinical Liaison, Lauren Mullins (pictured on the right), had the opportunity to introduce one of the bands, John Emil (pictured on the left), and share information about our inpatient and outpatient programs. Moreover, at the end of the festival, our community spoke and voted Poplar Springs Hospital as one of the “Best of the Best!” If you want to work for one of the “Best of the Best,” go to www.poplarsprings.com and see all the amazing career opportunities available to give back to the community.

We were honored to be a tournament sponsor for Petersburg Rotary Clubs’ “Service Above Self” 17th Annual Golf Tournament. The annual fundraiser raises donations for the Southside Virginia Emergency Crew and other local organizations to better the community. Our Group CEO, MIKE TRIGGS, opened the event by sharing the news of the newly opened Medication Assisting Therapy Outpatient Clinic in Chester, Virginia. Amie Pathmann, Director of Behavioral Health; LeMar Taliaferro, Director of Business Development; and Alice Owens, Director of Pharmacy, formed the Poplar Springs team. We donated our extra seat to a local community member and retired Veteran, James Mays.
