Business Challenges

My starting point for the year is what I want Women Who Count to look like in December 2023. With that in mind I've spent time this month planning what will need to happen for my vision to become a reality.

In working through this plan, I have split the year into four quarters, and then started with the key financial targets I want to meet by the end of the year. Knowing what I'm aiming for allows me to then work backwards. For example, I know I will need to make a hire in Quarter 2.

IAB, COO Sarah Palmer

1. I'm starting the year by reviewing systems because if the foundations are shaky then growth will be inconsistent. We introduced a new workflow at the end of December and The Team have been tasked with testing this throughout January with a review date in early February so we can make any amendments before we introduce it across the whole business.

2. Softwares and prices are also under review. I've had a meeting with my account manager at Xero and he is now aligned with my goals and has been able to offer some great support both in terms of marketing and discounts - If you don’t ask you don’t get!

3. Thirdly - there isn’t a third this month - it’s January!

IFATE Business

IFATE needs to hear from employers! It's vital that apprenticeship technical content keeps up with that pace of change to maintain the “real world” emphasis that makes apprenticeships so rewarding for both employers and apprentices.

IFATE are looking for employers to attend regular meetings (mainly online for around an hour every month) to share their expertise in employing people in our industry and their views on essential knowledge, skills and behaviours.

If you are interested in being involved then please email [email protected] for further information.
