Business Cases
So here's my point about Business Cases... ??
If you're telling me that you need to do a job for less than $300, you're telling on yourself that you don't believe you're going to EARN $300 from the job.
If that's the case, why are you doing the job in the first place? ??
You have no Business Case.
You have no explanation about how doing this "work" is going to benefit YOU at all.
Do they hand out coffee at Starbucks for free? ????♂?
No. They charge you more than they spend on making the coffee and paying the workers and paying the rent and keeping the lights on and renting the furniture.
So I don't want to hear about what YOUR BUDGET is to do work for a client.
It's YOUR JOB to EXPLAIN to your client WHY the budget is $X.
It is NOT your job to do the work for whatever amount your potential client wants to pay.
If your client doesn't believe you're worth what you're asking for, you've failed to articulate your VALUE.
Do you get to haggle at Starbucks? no.
They know what they're offering. They've set a price for it. You pay it or you don't.
I don't want to hear about "how do I do this for less money or for free? ??"
Explain your Value Prop to potential clients and then do the work.
YOUR JOB is to provide VALUE and your CLIENT'S JOB is to pay you for it.
