EVs written off less often than ICE vehicles, Cap HPI says
Petrol and diesel cars are written off at more than double the rate of EVs, according to research by Cap HPI.
The automotive data firm said that between 2015 and August this year, 0.9% of EVs under five years old had been written off, compared with 1.89% of petrol and diesel vehicles.
Fleet EV charger sharing platform planned by AFP
The Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) says it is ready to commission an online platform allowing fleets to share their EV charging facilities with other organisations.
The AFP says this follows extensive work by its shared charging committee, which includes representation from the AA, Alliance Healthcare, Auditel, IFC Group, National Grid, and Royal Mail.

Electric company car clarity needed from Budget, Fleetcheck says
The UK Government needs to align its policies around electric company cars with next month’s Budget, according to Fleetcheck.
The software firm said it would be premature for the Chancellor to assume that, because of strong current EV adoption rates in the sector, this was an area where revenue could be reclaimed.
EV batteries should last 20 years or more, Geotab data suggests
Data indicating that EV batteries will now last for 20 years or more has been published by Geotab.
The telematics firm said it had analysed the battery health of almost 5,000 fleet and private EVs, representing nearly 1.5 million days of telematics data, and found that batteries were degrading by 1.8% per year.
New Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range WLTP details confirmed
New Long Range versions of Peugeot’s E-3008 and E-5008 will cover more than 400 miles between charges, according to official WLTP figures.
The manufacturer has announced official ranges of 435 miles and 415 miles respectively for the medium and large SUVs.
